Reviews for Books by Hubert Schaub

REAL, BOLD and SIMPLE

Thanks for your “Bold but “Simply” put tryst with “Reality.”

Review by Ray Fanthome, Star Rating ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

You brush a wide canvas with incisive arguments and well-learned lessons at “The University of Experience,” as you put it. For myself, it was like an interaction with the benign presence of His Holiness The Dalai Lama.

May I say “Good Luck,” with the success of your book

JOURNEY OF LIFE

…interesting, informative and truly inspirational.

Review by Elaine Walker, Star rating ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Hubert Schaub writes with feeling that lucidly explains common pitfalls in our everyday life. He describes psychological aspects of what happens internally when confronted with life’s many challenges and eloquently explains how the true philosophy of martial arts is much more than bodily self defence but also incorporates mental aspects too. The central theme of Hubert’s book is not to offer a ‘quick fix’ solution to life’s problems but to help the reader make sense of the ‘wilderness of life’ and to offer a navigational guide through the application of true martial arts, thereby helping the reader to improve their quality of life.

Great Read and insight into the world of real Martial Arts (Taekwondo)

Review by Paul, Star rating ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

What a great insight into the world of martial arts, (Taekwondo) and the benefits it has to all in our overall mental and physical health. Hubert gives a fantastic explanation using the benefit of his many years of experience how true Martial Arts schools operate and the relationship between this type of art and good old fashioned values. A must read, not just for the beginner to advanced martial arts practitioner, but also every parent trying to find the best pathway to set their loved ones on, for their start in life. Finally a book you must read!

Review by Andreas Lehmann, Germany, Star rating ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This book written by Hubert Schaub is neither just another guide for all kinds of vital issues nor a book exclusively intended for martial artists.

Rather, the author takes us along on his very own journey of life letting us share the manifold experiences he has made when travelling and last but not least, during his intensive study and practice of the martial art of taekwondo.

Hubert Schaub puts the insights gained by experience and the principles of martial arts in a clear context making the reader understand how important and helpful the principles of martial arts and their application are in our lives. In this way, he raises the martial arts far beyond a purely technical and physical level.

Only through this mental and spiritual level can a “martial craftsman” ever become a martial artist, who is in the proper sense, also a master in the art of living.

Therefore, I do not regard this book as one that is primarily of interest to practitioners of martial arts. Far from it!  It is rather a source of inspiration for everyone who wants to deal seriously with his own journey of life.

The book that changed my life!

Review by bgndrgnksme 29 September 2012 (iTunes), Star rating ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This book is a fantastic read, although it is not the most “popular” book on the market, this book shows the insight of an average person, how to overcome obstacles in life and how to prevent certain negative things from arising in your life.

I highly recommend this book for martial artists, mums, dads, kids and teenagers!  It speaks about martial arts, human growth, the power of the mind and perseverance.

Read it and rate it! Give it 5 stars out of 5, tell what you think!

Thanks Author.

Must read to understand

Review by Sean Byrne, Star rating ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Each chapter of this book is captivating and pulls the reader in even more.  Talking about commitment and perseverance this book truly teaches you how to look at life for the god things and not captivate on the bad. This book is not only for those that learn martial arts or study it, but also for those that want an insight of what a healthy life is like. Truly a good book and advisable to read.

If this book is not a “wake up” call then there is nothing in this life that can prepare you for your future.

The introduction will tear you from a state of stupor because, upon reflection, you already know this stuff yet you allow so many negative influences and so much utter nonsense to control your life.

I have read many books looking for answers but have never seen it put so succinctly.  It seems that I have been trying too hard.  I have not stopped to “smell” the roses.  This account of one man’s travels around the many war torn regions of the world is like meditation in a manuscript.  Read it slowly, read it again.  The message is simple yet so profound.

If you are looking to make sense of life, people, situations or feelings that you may have experienced, this will help.  If you are dabbling with martial arts as a recreation or pastime, learn how it can be the backbone of a successful life.

Reflective, analytical, enlightening, I highly recommend this book to you.
